From 20-07-22 ODE email: The first Auxiliary Services payment is scheduled for Thursday, August 13. Typically, the August Auxiliary Services payment is equal to 25% of the annual appropriation. However, as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and the state’s financial position, the initial Auxiliary Services payment will be reduce by 3.72%. This approach is being taken to preserve the state’s options as the plan for ensuring a balanced FY21 continues to be developed. This does not mean that any specific or final decision has been made about reduced general revenue fund appropriations for FY21. In FY20, the executive ordered budget reductions occurred later in the fiscal year, following the disbursement of the final Auxiliary Services payment. As a result, the enter entire nonpublic budget reduction was applied to the final non-public administrative cost reimbursement payment. Initially, this reduction will be equally applied to both the Auxiliary Services and Administrative Cost Reimbursement payments. The 3.72% reduction across both line items is consistent with the overall reduction to state foundation funding for traditional public school districts.
