JOB DESCRIPTION
Cristo Rey Columbus has two Academic Counselors. Academic Counselors work with two-grade
levels of students providing them with the support to achieve their academic and college goals.
They collaboratively do the following:
● Co-design and oversee events that proactively nurture a positive academic culture,
including those that recognize students’ accomplishments, nurture student growth, and
forge strong community identity (i.e. student award assemblies and parent-teacher
conferences).
● Supervises student course placement and the preparation of individual student schedules.
● Directs the administration of all standardized testing (MAP, ACT, etc.)
● Assists the Principal in the compiling and analysis of student performance data after
each grading period and of standardized testing results
● Assists with creating of the master schedule
● Collaborate with various teams and departments to support student academic success
● Is an active member of the student success team by referring students for various
evaluative tests, evaluates results of placement tests, and recommends an appropriate
program based on test results.
● Responsible for the publication and on-going revision of the course catalog
● Assists with school accreditation procedures of academic nature
● Develop and implement family engagement initiatives to promote parent involvement at
school and to support parent development, as it pertains to student academic success
● Works with the technology coordinator to ensure the effective use of the
PowerSchool software as it pertains to academics
● Audit student records and determine progress toward meeting academic requirements and
to assess eligibility for graduation. Maintains appropriate files and records.
● Performs other duties as deemed necessary by the Principal to further the mission and
academic vision of CRC
Required:
● A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college
● A Master’s degree in school counseling
● Valid Ohio counseling license (or working towards completion)

college selection, learn about the alumni program prior to graduation, and identify key

Purpose and Scope
Campus Ministry is the driving force of faith and spirituality for the Cristo Rey Columbus
Community. The campus minister will build programs that enliven and animate the Catholic
identity of our school for our students, faculty, staff, parents and families. The Campus Ministry
program seeks to nurture and develop the spiritual lives of our students – supporting and
enriching them to live lives filled with faith, hope and love in service to others. Through school
Masses, grade-level prayer services, daily prayer, retreats and other formational activities, we
invite and encourage every student to seek God’s presence in all things and live authentic
Christian lives. Our community reflects Jesus’ care and concern for all people. The Campus
