Thomas L. Smith Memorial Scholarship

Amount: $1,250

Eligibility Requirements and Criteria:
 

• graduating senior of a Catholic high school in the Diocese of Columbus or a senior high school student who is a parishioner in good standing of St. Peter or St. Mary Parish in Chillicothe, Ohio
• a student with proven financial challenges, which may prevent attending a college or university
• a student who demonstrates strong work ethic by consistently achieving above-average grades or has achieved above-average grades through continual improvement

Karen Louise Laihr TEACHING Scholarship

Amount: $20,000 ($5,000 per year over 4 years)

• graduating high school student from the Diocese of Columbus, Ohio
• planning to enroll in a college of education

• graduating senior attending a high school in the Diocese of Columbus

• student with consistently good grades

 
The Superintendent of Catholic Schools selects the recipient.

• graduating senior in the Diocese of Columbus
• must be enrolled in the Mount Carmel College of Nursing

Gertrude C. Kuehefuhs Music Scholarship (Elementary Schools)

Amount: $250 to diocesan high school
Apply: 2023 Application
Application deadline: APRIL 13
Eligibility Requirements and Criteria:
 

• outstanding achievement in instrumental music to a current diocesan eighth grade student
• outstanding achievement in choral music to a current diocesan eighth grade student
• one nomination per elementary school, per category

Amount: $250 to college of student’s choice

Eligibility Requirements and Criteria:

• outstanding achievement in choral music to a current diocesan high school student
• one nomination per high school, per category
