Overall, this curriculum seems to be a good program with a strong emphasis on digital tools and differentiated instruction. it might not be ideal for schools looking for a strong Catholic connection or those needing more traditional print materials for parents. Successmaker is included. Clever integration is not included. Teachers need to self-register and schools are responsible for rostering. |
Other Resources Reviewed:
Bridges
This program requires "buy in" to its philosophy and pedagogical structure. It would require extensive professional development on the recommended instructional practices.
Kendall-Hunt Illustrative Math
While this program has a very good approach to teaching certain concepts, it is not aligned to our standards and would be very confusing for a teacher to teach. This can be used as a supplemental but not recommended for a core curriculum.
Eureka Math
While the problems are rigorous and very focused on real world applications, the program layout is not aligned to our course of study. However, a version of this is offered online at no cost, so teachers can use this as a supplemental, especially the application problems.
