The new Saint Peter Saint Joan of Arc School, located at 6899 Smoky Row Road, Columbus, OH 43235, is hiring a Founding Principal in the summer of 2025. The Preschool and Kindergarten will start in the fall of 2026, with one additional grade to be added every year following.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the start-up and operation of the Saint Peter Saint Joan of Arc School. Responsibilities include developing and implementing policies and procedures that conform to the Diocese of Columbus and State of Ohio policies and laws, while creating a vibrant Catholic culture. The Principal will report to the Pastor of Saint Peter Saint Joan of Arc Parish. Partnerships will be developed with parents to encourage family participation in the program. The Principal is responsible for overseeing the spiritual, academic, and social-emotional growth and development of all children in their care.

Responsibilities:

• Enrollment of students and introducing families to Saint Peter Saint Joan of Arc School
• Hiring, training, and overseeing staff and teachers
• Developing policies and procedures that meet state requirements
• Developing and executing a business plan and managing and preparing budgets
• Creating curricula and standards that support educational excellence with the Pastor and Superintendent of Catholic Schools
• Working with staff to communicate with parents and students
• Ongoing training and facilitation of Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Program

Requirements:

• An active, practicing, Holy Spirit-filled Catholic
• Candidates must possess a master's degree in education and an Administrator’s license
• Significant experience in school administration
• Certification in current workshops as required by Ohio Department of Education, including but not limited to: First Aid, CPR, Child Abuse Recognition, and Communicable Diseases
• BCI & FBI background checks must be current and satisfactory
• Have attended or be willing to attend a VIRTUS Protecting God’s Children training

Desired but not required:

• Background or training in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
• Bilingual in Spanish and English
• Experience with the Hispanic community
